BEHIND THE SCENES

I have spent many years on various T.V. and movie sets, and I’ve been struck by the way the crew members, like the actors, seem perfectly cast and costumed for their different jobs. From set to set I could often tell what people did just by how they looked and dressed.

Whether on a sound stage, a back lot, or on location, a place is transformed and becomes merely a set and the only world that exists for the crew and actors while they’re working on it. This is part of the magic of movie-making for me and I try to capture that in these paintings.
